National Skills Academy
The National Skills Academy for Social Care is a membership organisation, created by social care employers to transform the quality of: leadership, management, training, development and commissioning.
Research commission to undertake a national project looking at the role of coaching in adult social care.The Skills Academy wanted to improve its understanding of the market for coaching
in adult social care and commissioned this project to gather evidence on the current use of, and future demand for, coaching as an approach to leadership development for operational managers.
The final report, was completed in May 2013 and provides a range of options and recommendations for the NSA to consider developing, which will support the wider take up of coaching across the
sector in the future.
A formal launch and publication of the final report is expected in Autumn 2013.
